Stick to Sports Mike
Mike Lupica , a mediocre sports writer given to opining about politics gets taken to task by Professor Jacobson .
Surely the race card is played out in this day and age of our “post racial ” president , no ?
” Mike Lupica is a sports writer who now is a political columnist. Lupica suffers from Keith Olbermann Disease. Lupica hasn’t been mentioned much here, but we did call him out when he claimed that a
Stop Obama sign was a call to violence based on race:
We are 100 yards, no more than that, from the front entrance to the school. There is a stop sign here, and underneath the word “Stop” someone has spray-painted “Obama.” Stop Obama.”

More Gas Pump Blues
Post It at the Pump
GOP targets president on gas prices with #Obamaonempty Twitter campaign
“The White House recently earned
accolades for its #40dollars Twitter
campaign, launched to help push through
a payroll tax cut extension.
Republicans are now running their own
campaign, #Obamaonempty, urging
Twitter users across the country to snap
photos of prices at the gas pump when
they fill up.
It’s part of a concerted effort by the GOP
to pin increasing gas prices on President
Obama after he trashed Republicans and
defended his energy record last Thursday,
POLITICO’s Darren Goode reported
Tuesday.
The RNC Tweeted: “Today when you are at
the station, take a picture of the pump and
tweet us the photo- use the hashtag #
ObamaonEmpty. Great response so far!”
Twitterers from far and wide have sent in
pics: In Shreveport, La., regular hit $3.53 ,
in Virginia Beach it went to $3.63 , and in
New Port Richey, Fl., it was $3.75 ,
according to the submissions.
One Tweeter, @j_heals, pulled the two
campaigns together. Senate staffer Jeni
Healy Tweeted a photo showing a tank of
gas cost her $65.81 : “@RNC ugh @
whitehouse what $40 doesnt cover: A tank
of gas Payroll “tax break” wont help at the
gas pump #ObamaOnEmpty.”
As per the Politico .

Long may “guerrilla street art” reign . I just had to borrow this from Professor Reynolds , it was too good to pass by
This , along with the budding gas pump post it campaign is what makes my days fun .

At Least He's Creating Jobs in One Field
Thanks to our illustrious leader ammunition sales are skyrocketing .
Somehow I think that this is about the last industry our “exalted comrade” would like to be seen as boosting but given his track record its amazing that any business is booming …. except of course for government (read union ) workers , lawyers and the ever-present grievance mongers .

Trillion , Kabillion , Jillion
It’s like learning that 1 trillion seconds
equals 38,688 years, while the average
human life spans 2.4 billion seconds —
among analogies compiled by the Heritage
Foundation to help explain the gravity of
the national debt. Well, here’s another
one, this inspired by the Mega Millions
jackpot, a mere $6560 million.
“The largest jackpot ever would be spent
by the federal government in 80 minutes,”
reads a caption by Indianapolis Star
editorial cartoonist Gary Varvel in his
newest offering.
“To see how fast the federal government is
spending money, divide the budget for
2011 by 8,760 hours in a year you get over
$400 million per hour,” Mr. Varvel
explains. “If you spent $1 million every
day since the time Christ was born until
now, you will have spent approximately $
735 billion. Think about that. $1 million
every day for 2012 years and you still will
not have spent $1 trillion. And we’re $
15.5 trillion in debt. Where will it

My dog creates more shovel ready jobs than Mr. I-Me-Mine *
“What about the larger picture that includes
the hidden unemployed? How many jobs
are needed to restore the ratio of
employed people to the total population
back to where it was in 2007, prior to the
economic downturn. Under normal
circumstances, there would be
153,000,000 jobs, including parttime jobs
that people hold voluntarily. Currently,
however, the number of full-time jobs and
those who are holding part-time jobs
voluntarily stand at 138,189,000.”
